We serve more than 30,000 children, youth and families annually throughout the state.
Our experienced staff of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Specialists, Parent Partners and other therapists/counselors provide case management, mental health care and a range of support services in schools, homes or other community settings.
Our dedicated teams work collaboratively and in partnership with family members, school administrators and faculty, county social workers, case managers, probation officers and other agencies.
JOB
Summary:
The LVN / LPT provides direct client care including the administration of medications, including injections.
Engages clients and families to assess and diagnoses physical health status.
Formulates and implements an effective nursing care plan understanding psychiatric illness and its treatment as appropriate for Scope of Practice.
Demonstrates an understanding of age-related development and other issues for the population(s).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSApplicants must have attained the age of 18 years of ageEmployment is contingent on:
Successfully completing a pre-employment Health Screening and a TB clearanceReceipt of clear or approved Live Scan results and Criminal Background ClearanceEducation NEW GRADS WELCOME - Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
Associate's degree, preferred.
ExperienceOne (1) year service experience treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting, preferred.
One (1) year medication administration experience, preferred.
License or CertificationValid California LVN or LPT license.
Current CPR certification.
First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.
Specialized SkillsAbility to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with severely disordered clients, staff of differing culture and social backgrounds, physicians and the public.
Demonstrated understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment.
Demonstrated team leadership skills.
Knowledge of medications, especially psychotropic, and ability to obtain a passing grade in a Medication Exam.
Physical RequirementsAbility to visually and audibly assess client's behavior and needs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time preparing and administering medications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
